Emotional Change Coaching — Leicester & Online
Support for thoughtful, capable people who feel stuck or stressed - even though they’ve tried to make sense of it.
I’m a Personal Wellness Coach working with capable, outwardly functioning people who know something emotionally isn’t quite right.
Most people who arrive here aren’t in crisis. They’re getting on with life. They’re holding things together.
Underneath, they feel unsettled, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that don’t seem to shift — no matter how much they understand them.
You may recognise yourself in one or more of these:
You’re capable, but constantly stressed and rarely fully switched off
You’re dealing with loss or bereavement or a major life change that’s still affecting you
You feel low in mood or disconnected from who you used to be
You want to perform better - at work or in life - without burning out
You keep repeating emotional patterns you can’t think your way out of
Many clients describe feeling like they’re “holding it together”, “going a bit mad”, or “fighting for a long time” — and wanting things to feel easier, steadier, and clearer.

“I’ve found it incredibly useful to use these sessions to work through things I’d struggled to shift elsewhere. The changes have felt lasting, not just temporary.”
What is Emotional Change Coaching?
Emotional Change Coaching is the name I use to describe how I work.
It’s a practical, integrative approach focused on helping people make meaningful emotional changes — rather than only gaining insight or talking things through.
Is it Counselling?
This is not counselling, and it’s not open-ended talking therapy.
We don’t spend months circling the same issue or analysing your story endlessly.
Session based
Sessions are structured, contained, and focused on change.
Each session is designed to support shifts in how you think, feel, and respond — usually within the session itself.
Real results
Clients often describe the work as:
- Safe and grounded
- Focused and structured
- Honest and real
- Challenging in a good way
- Ultimately calming and settling.
This way of working tends to suit people who are reflective, emotionally open, and ready to engage actively in the process.

“Other people noticed the difference in how I was handling things — I was less reactive, more grounded, and clearer in my thinking.”
With over 15 years’ experience in coaching and therapeutic work, this way of working has supported many clients in making meaningful, lasting changes — sometimes after other approaches haven’t delivered what they hoped for.
Some clients return months or years later with a different issue, while the original one remains settled.
This suggests the work addressed underlying emotional patterns, rather than only surface symptoms.
Because the focus is on how emotional responses are held and triggered — not just understood — many people find the changes feel more stable and easier to maintain over time.
Individual experiences naturally vary.
What Clients Often Notice
Clients come to this work with different challenges, but many describe similar outcomes, such as:
Feeling calmer and more settled
Feeling less overwhelmed or reactive
Being able to handle situations differently, with more perspective
Thinking more clearly without spiralling
Feeling more confident and connected to themselves
Clients sometimes report that others notice changes in how they’re coping or responding — feeling more grounded, steadier, and clearer in their thinking.
Here’s what some clients have chosen to share:
“The ability to think things through more clearly, without spiralling or becoming emotionally stuck. Situations that would previously feel overwhelming now feel more manageable.”
“Feeling far less stressed ahead of a long-haul trip than I normally would. I was able to approach things with a calmer mindset and enjoy the experience rather than worry about it.”
“The sessions helped resolve a traumatic incident that had stayed with me for years. I no longer feel the emotional charge around it, and it’s made a real difference to how I respond day to day.”
“I’ve been able to talk openly about things I hadn’t previously addressed, and I now feel more settled and confident in myself. I handle situations differently, with more calm and perspective.”
“I’ve found it incredibly useful to use these sessions to work through things I’d struggled to shift elsewhere. The changes have felt lasting, not just temporary.”
“Other people noticed the difference in how I was handling things — I was less reactive, more grounded, and clearer in my thinking.”
Clarifications
Common questions about how this coaching works and what to expect
This approach is often helpful if you:
- Feel anxious, stressed or overwhelmed
- Struggle with confidence, self-trust, or consistency
- Want better emotional control or performance under pressure
- Have tried counselling or coaching before and want something more practical
Change tends to work best when clients are curious, engaged, and willing to take an active role.
Many people searching for NLP, BWRT, Time Line Therapy or Core Transformation support in Leicester and online find this work aligns with what they’re looking for.
Rather than following a single model, I draw on a range of established coaching and therapeutic approaches and apply them flexibly, depending on what best supports the individual.
Approaches may include:
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
To identify and change unhelpful emotional and behavioural patterns.
Time Line Work
For working with unresolved experiences from the past that continue to influence the present, by developing greater emotional empowerment.
Reclaim Your Power
A contained approach for working directly with difficult memories, helping reduce their emotional charge and ongoing impact, without revisiting the story.
Core Transformation
To explore deeper emotional drivers and internal conflicts, supporting more integrated and settled emotional states.
BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT®)
A focused approach for changing automatic emotional responses, commonly used with stress, anxiety reactions, and traumatic memories.
These methods are used pragmatically and explained in plain English.
You don’t need to prepare in advance, explain everything perfectly, or relive your past in detail. The focus is on helping emotional responses become more flexible, steadier, and easier to manage over time.
While no specific outcome can be guaranteed, many people experience:
- Less emotional intensity and mental noise
- More calm, clarity, and perspective
- Greater confidence and emotional balance
- Practical tools they can use in everyday life
No homework. No pressure to “perform.” Just steady, session-by-session work.
All work begins with a free 45-minute consultation. It’s completely normal to feel unsure or a little nervous before starting — most people do. This conversation is used to:
- Understand what’s been happening
- Clarify what you’d like to change or work towards
- Explore whether this way of working has the potential to help
Everything discussed is treated with care and confidentiality. Sessions are available in person in Leicester or online by video call.
There’s no obligation to continue — it’s simply a careful, professional first step.
Still wondering?
The consultation is a space to explore whether this way of working is right for you.
